He is considered one of the greatest professional and amateur wrestlers of all time. Angle started amateur wrestling at the age of seven. He attended Mt. Lebanon High School, where he won varsity letters in football, as an All-State linebacker, and wrestling. In 1998 he transitioned into professional wrestling where he skyrocketed to success after joining the World Wrestling Federation. He later became the first ever wrestler to hold the WCW and WWF Championships during the same calendar year. He is also the second ever TNA Triple Crown Champion in the promotions history and is a overall 13 time World Champion in professional wrestling. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.
