Chris Petersen, born on October 13, 1964, in Yuba City, California, is an American former college football coach [3, 5]. He is known for his successful tenures as head coach at Boise State University and the University of Washington [5, 6]. Petersen began his coaching career at UC Davis and later held positions at Pittsburgh and Portland State [3, 5]. He then joined the University of Oregon as the receivers coach [3, 5, 6]. As head coach at Boise State, Petersen achieved a 92-12 record, including two undefeated seasons and two BCS bowl wins [3, 6]. He is a two-time winner of the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award [3, 5, 6]. At the University of Washington, Petersen led the Huskies to the College Football Playoff in 2016 [6].
