Poppy Montgomery (born Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donahue on June 15, 1972) is an Australian-American actress and producer [2, 8]. She was born in Sydney, Australia, to Nicola (Montgomery), a market researcher and executive, and Phil Donahue, a restaurateur [1, 3]. She is best known for her role as FBI agent Samantha Spade on the CBS mystery drama ‘Without a Trace’ (2002–2009) and as Detective Carrie Wells on the CBS/A&E police drama ‘Unforgettable’ (2011–2016) [2, 8]. At the age of 18, she moved to the United States to pursue an acting career [2, 3]. Montgomery’s first lead role was portraying Marilyn Monroe in the 2001 CBS miniseries ‘Blonde’ [2, 8]. In addition to acting, Poppy has also worked as an executive producer on ‘Unforgettable’, ‘Reef Break’, and ‘Christmas on the Farm’ [8, 13].
