Mankiewicz, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of ‘Citizen Kane,’ and the great-nephew of Joseph L. Mankiewicz, a renowned writer and director. Prior to joining TCM in 2003, Mankiewicz worked as a news reporter and anchor for various television stations. At TCM, he introduces and provides commentary on classic films, and he became the primary host after the death of Robert Osborne. In addition to his work on TCM, he has been involved with ‘The Young Turks’ as a progressive political commentator. He has also appeared in films and TV series, including ‘White House Down.’ He graduated from Tufts University and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
