Perry transitioned to screen work in the late 1980s and has since become a familiar face in numerous TV series, including “Nash Bridges” as Inspector Harvey Leek, “Grey’s Anatomy” as Thatcher Grey, and “Scandal” as Cyrus Beene. He has also appeared in films such as “Wild Things.” Perry’s contributions to the field of theatre were recognized with an honorary doctorate from Illinois State University in 2011. He was married to actress Laurie Metcalf and has a daughter, Zoe Perry, who is also an actress.
