Robert Fitzgerald Diggs (born July 5, 1969), most famously known as RZA, is an American rapper, record producer, composer, actor, and filmmaker. He rose to prominence as the de facto leader of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan, where he produced most of the group’s albums and those of its members. RZA’s signature production style, characterized by soul samples, sparse beats, and cinematic elements, has significantly influenced hip-hop. Beyond Wu-Tang Clan, RZA has released solo albums under the name Bobby Digital and co-founded the horrorcore group Gravediggaz. He has also composed scores for major films, directed movies like ‘The Man with the Iron Fists,’ and served as an executive producer for ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’.
