Charles Roger Pomfret Hodgson, born on March 21, 1950, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the former co-frontman and founding member of the progressive rock band Supertramp. Hodgson composed and sang many of the band’s hits, including “Dreamer,” “Give a Little Bit,” “Take the Long Way Home,” “The Logical Song,” “It’s Raining Again,” and “Breakfast in America.” He began his musical journey early, learning guitar at boarding school after receiving one at the age of 12. He co-founded Supertramp in 1969. In 1983, Hodgson left Supertramp to pursue a solo career and focus on family, moving away from Los Angeles. He has continued to tour and perform his classic hits, maintaining a dedicated fanbase worldwide. Roger has been recognized as one of the most gifted composers, songwriters and lyricists of our time.
