She gained recognition in the mid-1990s for her leading role in ‘Mallrats’ and the Jean-Michel Basquiat biopic ‘Basquiat’. In 1998, she achieved wider recognition for starring in ‘Meet Joe Black’. Other notable films include ‘Mystery Men’, ‘Boys and Girls’, ‘Antitrust’, ‘The Medallion’, and ‘In the Name of the King’. Forlani has also appeared in television series such as ‘Camelot’, ‘CSI: NY’, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, and ‘Hawaii Five-0’. Born in Twickenham, London, she studied acting and ballet at the Arts Educational School. In 1993, her parents moved to San Francisco to support her career in Hollywood. Forlani is married to Scottish actor Dougray Scott, and they have a son. She has also publicly stated that she is among the many survivors who experienced abuse at the hands of film producer Harvey Weinstein.
