After the band dissolved, Ford embarked on a successful solo career in the 1980s, achieving platinum status with her self-titled album ‘Lita’. Her hit single ‘Close My Eyes Forever’, a duet with Ozzy Osbourne, remains her most successful song, reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Beyond music, Ford has appeared in film and television and published her memoir, ‘Living Like a Runaway’, in 2016. She continues to be an influential figure in rock music, particularly as a female guitarist in a male-dominated genre. She launched Lita Ford Guitars in 2018.
